This track was recorded back in June 2017. I just got started to get my head around recording, mixing and learning Pro Tools. Performing live for a crowd was never an issue, but recording didn’t feel comfortable at all.  As soon I pressed record, my mind went blank and I couldn’t play. The only way to gain confidence is putting  yourself in a recording situation and doing it over and over again.  Right now it doesn’t matter anymore, but it took me a while to achieve this.

You learn a lot by listening what you’ve played. Are you rushing, dragging? Are you over- or underplaying? Did it work out or not? As a consequence you will hear every mistake you’ve made. You realize getting the perfect take is a difficult task. It’s a great  goal on his own, but you have to learn to let things go. That’s another underestimated thing.

I’ve chosen this song, cause it supported a fun thread on a social media platform I was participating. I bought this track from minus drums.com,  anyway, have a nice listen.
